Who says 13 isn’t a lucky number? It is for the town of Fairfax, California as they host their 13th Annual Fairfax Brewfest on Saturday, March 15 at the Fairfax Pavilion from 1pm to 5pm. The event is being put together by the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce along with Iron Springs Brewing.
I have this event listed in a prior post but for whatever reason, the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce website isn’t up-to-date. I decided to take the initiative and contact the Chamber of Commerce directly and see if I could get some information straight from the horse’s mouth. Richard Pedemonte was kind enough to email me back with some information. Here are the event specifics:

I got the majority of the information from the Fairfax Brewfest 2008 press release which you can download here. I also asked Richard for a list of participating breweries but he hasn’t gotten back to me yet. As soon as I know, you’ll know. Here is a list of participating breweries as submitted to me by Richard:
- Iron Springs
- Marin Brew Co
- Moylans
- Black Diamond
- Sudwerk
- Magnolia
- Triple Rock
- Beach Chalet
- 21st Amendment
- Broken Drum
- Half Moon Bay
- Lagunitas
- New Belguim
- Anderson Valley
I am familiar with most of these breweries and have personally tasted at least one beer from half of them. I look forward to sampling the offerings from the breweries I don’t have first hand experience with and even more excited to have some old favorites.
Richard also let me know that he would be on KFOG (104.5 in San Francisco/97.7 in San Jose) to promote the event. What I didn’t know was that Shaun O’Sullivan would be hosting the show. While I don’t know Shaun personally, he is the brewmaster of at 21st Amendment Brewery in San Francisco. Shaun regularly appears on radio and you can listen to some his radio spots here.
The wife and I are planning on going up for the event. If any of you out there in the Internet-land will be going up as well, shoot me and email and let’s see if we can meet up!
