As the title would suggest, Gordon Biersch is tapping their Winterbock seasonal beer tonight at their various locations although I plan to be at the San Jose location. According to their timely email blast, the Winterbock is “a strong, dark beer with bold flavor combined with a gentle hint of holiday sweetness.”

‘Tis the season for giving’…don’t forget to bring a toy for Toys for Tots.

These events are typically unstructured. You show up, give your email and get two free drink tickets. If you’re a GB Passport member, then you get your tickets without having to sign up. Different from past events, they are asking for a toy donation for Toys for Tots. When you’re a kid, a toy is always welcome, no matter how simple or mundane it seemed. It was one of the few things you could honestly say was “yours” in the world.
