Mikkeller is often referred to as a “gypsy” brewer. They are called that because they don’t really have a brewery to call their own, and instead, contract their beers to be made at several breweries around the world. Because of this they seem to brew a wide variety of beers. At least to me they do.
This situation allows them to experiment and collaborate with many brewers around the world. The resulting beers run the gamut of flavors and are, at the very least, an interesting experiment in pushing the boundaries of craft beer.
